We are a family business, established over fifty years ago on the island of Bryher in the Isles of Scilly. We have a large, sheltered Boatyard on Bryher where we provide outdoor and indoor storage for boats and gear. We are a Tohatsu Dealer and cover all aspects of boat care and provide a full and comprehensive maintenance and repair service along with a boat & kayak hire service in the summer to give you a hassle free boating holiday.

BOAT STORAGE
At Bennett Boatyard we offer year round storage of all boats in a safe and sheltered enclosure as well as indoor storage for all boating and other gear. We offer all services to care for your boat and have it ready to go for your holiday. This includes repairs and maintenance in both wood and fibreglass, painting, varnishing and anti-fouling, engine servicing and repairs, sail boat rigging, fuelling, inflatable boat repairs, boat cleaning and valeting.
We have a wide range of trailers to launch your boat ready for your arrival and recover it when you go home. We’ll deliver your boat and collect it from anywhere around the islands and have moorings available around the islands.

THE ENGINE SHED
At the Boatyard we have a dedicated outboard engineering workshop where we can carry out engine servicing and repairs. We offer a full and comprehensive service to ensure your engine is ready for your holiday including full winterisation and storage, to servicing and run ups in the test tanks to on the water testing before you use the engine.
We are always available for on the water assistance from running out of fuel to breakdowns. We have a number of workboats and can usually resolve issues on the water, but if not can tow back to the Boatyard and work from there. Whilst we are agents for Tohatsu we are also happy to work on all other outboards.
We are proud to be a main agent for Tohatsu Outboards. Tohatsu are celebrating their 100 year anniversary and world wide are the largest outboard manufacturer. We power all our hire and work boats with Tohatsu and see an ever increasing number of these engines around the islands.
If reliability is top of your list when it comes to choosing an outboard then turn to Tohatsu with a seven year warranty one of the best standard warranties in the industry.
As well as new engines we often have second hand Tohatsu engines in stock so please get in touch for further information.

Boat finder:
If we do not have a suitable boat for sale at the yard we can help to source boats from around the islands or from the mainland. We can help arrange for boats to be delivered to the islands for you via the freight services or crew / skipper boats to the islands.
Tenders & outboards:
We often have second hand inflatable tenders and second hand outboards available and can also supply a range of new inflatables to order.
New Boats:
We can supply a number of new inflatable boats and tenders. These can be packaged together with Tohatsu outboards and all gear for a ready to go boat. Please get in touch for any requirements and we will be happy to advise and help.
HUT 62
At Hut 62 we have motor boats, sailing boats, stable sit on top kayaks, transparent kayaks, SUPs and pedalboards available to hire by the hour, day or week.
We’re based at Green Bay on Bryher and can deliver to Tresco and St Martin’s. If you’re staying on St Mary’s or St Agnes come up for the day and we’ll get you out on the water.
